Instructions
Some tips to help you find your way in the Archives database of the World Council of Churches archives.
- The documents are described in English
- Full text search
Searches in all the fields of description
- Search term(s)
Unlike the full text search, it searches only in the fields "title", "contents" and "remarks"
- Use special punctuation
" " (quotes) if what you are looking for comprises more than one word. e.g.: "Sri Lanka"
- Descriptors
This field is available only in advanced search. It allows you to search the database by subject, person, events and conferences, geographical names, WCC organisation and other organisations according to a list of authority headings given in English. To browse in this list of descriptors, click on the button at the bottom right of the field.
